They are part of the ALPHA product line, which incorporates ceramic-supported wirewound spirals within sealed aluminum housings. These resistors boast maximum working voltages of 3000 VAC \/ 4200 VDC and can withstand overloads ranging from 27 to 85 times the nominal power ratings. HVBS resistors have a rated dielectric strength of 7000 VAC for 1 minute.<\/p>\n<p> HVBS resistors find their application in scenarios such as wind\/gas turbines and supercapacitors, where infrequent pulse loads are encountered.<\/p>\n<p> The power ratings for individual housings vary from 850 to 3500 W. You can connect multiple housings, up to four, to enhance the power rating and pulse load capability.<\/p>\n<p> Danotherm HVBS resistors are cooled by convection. Aluminum, an exceptional heat conductor, is chosen as the housing material to facilitate heat dissipation. Aluminum possesses various desirable qualities, including being non-corrosive, non-magnetic, lightweight, durable, and an excellent heat conductor.
