Job description
As a Technical Consultant Power Electronics, you operate at the heart of our technical and commercial activities. You are responsible for supporting and growing sales of advanced power electronics products and solutions across international markets. Your role involves engaging with our global customers and suppliers to discuss projects and ongoing technical business. The projects primarily focus on the maritime, traction, data center and renewable energy markets. Project discussions may take place through email, phone calls, physical meetings (involving travel), or virtual meetings using MS Teams. You’ll collaborate closely with your motivated and experienced colleagues, partners and suppliers.

What you will do
Drive customer & market development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, prospects, suppliers and stake holders
- Identify new opportunities and market developments
- Conduct regular customer visits (national & international)
Provide technical-commercial expertise
- Understand customer applications and requirements
- Translate technical needs into clear internal specifications
- Support customers with tailored advice and solutions
Create winning solutions
- Prepare technically sound and commercially competitive proposals
- Coordinate internally with engineering, purchasing, and sales support
- Ensure accurate pricing, scope, lead times, and risk alignment
- Actively follow up and convert opportunities into orders
Strengthen market presence
- Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, and seminars
- Contribute to technical papers and professional content
- Support marketing and customer-facing communication
Collaborate internally
- Work closely with Business Development, Purchasing, Sales Support, and technical teams
- Ensure smooth coordination from opportunity to order execution
What you bring
Required
- A degree from either a Technical University or High School, during which you gained a solid understanding of power electronics. (Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Mechatronics, or similar)
- Experience in a technical-commercial role (e.g. technical sales, sales engineering)
- Strong communication skills in English
- Commercial mindset with a structured way of working
- You reside within a reasonable commute to our Rotterdam office. Traveling, including international trips, is not an obstacle for you.
Preferred
- International B2B experience
- Experience with complex quotations or solution selling
- Additional language skills
