High-power IGBT and diode modules
Hitachi Energy offers three main categories of high-power IGBT and diode modules: insulated, press-pack, and the newly launched SiC-based modules for e-mobility applications.
The insulated IGBT modules include the innovative, low-inductive LinPak phase-leg design and the proven HiPak lineup, with over 15 years of market presence and more than one million modules in operation worldwide.
The press-pack IGBT modules, also known as StakPak IGBT, represent Hitachi Energy’s flagship technology. These StakPak IGBT modules are designed for extreme performance and reliability, delivering record-breaking power ratings up to 5200 V and 3000 A. The StakPak IGBT combines advanced pressure-contact design with modular scalability, making it ideal for applications that demand long-term stability, easy series connection, and superior fault tolerance. The new e-mobility module portfolio leverages cutting-edge silicon carbide (SiC) technology, offering high current ratings, compact dimensions, and very low stray inductance, enabling efficient and lightweight designs for next-generation vehicles and converters.
